Federica Sasso

Federica Sasso (b. 1992) is a photographer whose work gives an intimate look to themes related with adolescence, femininity and eating disorders. She attended the Istituto Italiano di Fotografia before being recipient of a one-year scholarship for an artistic residency at Fabrica, communication research centre of Benetton Group. Her both personal and commissioned works have been shown in galleries and festival including Les Rencontres de la Photographie d’Arles, Landskrona Foto Festival, Fotografia Europea, Festival della Fotografia Etica, Milano Photo Week and Perugia Social Photo Festival. Her clients include United Color Of Benetton, Sergio Rossi, the United Nations, Fernet Branca, IO Donna, Amica International, Vogue Italia, Esquire Italia, Robinson La Repubblica, D La Repubblica, Marie Claire, Vanity Fair and Il Corriere della Sera among others. She is the author of the photobook “Sick Sad Blue”(sold out) based on her creative research and friendship with clairenough, a woman in her early twenties with a five-year history of anorexia. She was among the 37 selected photographers featured in the collective catalog “Up to Now. Fabrica Photography.” which offers an overview on more than twenty years of visual research collected by the editorial department of Fabrica. In 2016 she shot the global campaign WE (Women Empowerment Program) for United Colors of Benetton.
