U.Aoki The last full day of the trip. A friend took me to Ostia beach. This is where Japan and Italy really have similarities: geographically, we are surrounded by the see and beaches.
B.Ristori Sunday in Tokyo; I decided to explore a more chilled and relaxed local version of the city.
U.Aoki Even Ostia is Rome, but is such a departure from our traditional understanding of what Rome is. To be able to see this more colorful and open section of Rome was a welcome opportunity.
B. Ristori The Shinjuku Gyoen National Park is one of the main city’s parks and Japanese garden, a touristic attraction, but on Sunday it became a nice escape for locals. I enjoyed this lazy side of a city that seems always moving.
U.Aoki The day started with a photograph of a horizon, and I ended it with a photograph of a horizon. Perhaps somebody on the other end of the horizon was also taking a photograph of the horizon that they saw.
