Hong Kong is filled with tension between cultures, class, and political ideas. The dichotomy that exists between the reality of the city and the way propaganda depicts is evident in the streets where people mingle on the periphery of protests or walk the streets scarred with traumatic memories; sometimes participating actively and other times passively in the drama that is unfolding.

The images from Idyll are being published as a book this month. The images are lyrical interrogation of the American dream in Paterson, NJ. While the images titled portrait are made in Paterson, NJ and Hong Kong. They combine images and text which participants and I plan. The text tells stories of the person’s life.
