BIOGRAFIA
Alessandro Treves was born in a small mountain village in Piedmont grew up in the woods and motocross moved to Milan at the age of 18.
He began pharmacy studies, which he later decided to abandon while living in Oslo for a university project, and there he began working in the studio as a photographer’s assistant.
He then attended the Institute of Photography and Communication in Rome where he won a scholarship and in the meantime worked as an assistant at Paolo Pellegrin’s Rome studio.
His quest as a man and as a photographer has always been driven by a great curiosity about people and their lives, and photography is a great bridge to approach all that is unknown.
He works as a portrait photographer between publishing, music and fashion shooting album covers including Marracash, Fabri Fibra, Salmo, Ernia, Ghali, Ghemon, Giorgia, Tommaso Paradiso and magazine covers for Vanity Fair, Rolling Stone, IO donna, Marieclaire, Les Hommes Public, Cap 74024, L’Officiel.
In recent years, he has also approached teaching by collaborating with NGOs (he teaches the “School of Curiosity” project in the Mathare ghetto in Nairobi), holding workshops and working with entities committed to using photography as a glue in the community.
